UK's 7Digital Adds EMI MP3's & Locker

The UK's scrappy 7Digital has made a European only deal with EMI to add to its growing mp3 download catalog.  The company has been smartly selling songs in any format it could get the rights to for months and with the EMI addition 7Digital has aimed its cannon's firmly at market leader 7d_logo_newsletter_2iTunes.

They've also added other features including strategic alliance with Last.FM and a LaLa style online locker that allows uploaded song collections to be accessed from any internet connected device.  Like LaLa and a handful of come from behind iTunes competitors, 7Digital seems to understand that consumers want their download store to be more than just a place to buy tracks preferring a one-stop music discovery destination.
