A new much higher royalty rate which could cause the demise of many internet broadcasters is finally beginning to gain attention in the mainstream press even as broadcasters formulate their own counter-attack.

Kurt Hanson's online Radio Internet Newsletter is emerging as a central resource and staffers there have created SaveTheStreams.org. as a clearinghouse. Top independent net broadcaster Bill Goldsmith of RadioParadise has created SaveOurInternetRadio.com with a similar goal.
