Indie rockers Arctic Monkeys are testing an enterprising ticketing initiative for their U.K. summer tour. Tickets for all dates will be distributed via a lottery system to fans who have pre-registered online. Successful applicants will be randomly selected by computer and sent a personal password to use when purchasing a ticket.
A statement on the Arctic Monkeys’ website said the system allows “everyone to have the best and equal chance” to get tickets for the tour, which begins April 9th at the Guildhall in Southampton and concludes April 22nd at the Leadmill in the band’s hometown of Sheffield. (via CelebrityAccess)
