Just announced at Pollstar's Concert Industry Consortium industry trade group in LA

This year's OZZFEST tour will be FREE to the fans.

All bands including a confirmed Alice In Chains will play for what they can make from merchandise only. Acts can also jump off and do their own dates. Ozzie Osbourne will also headline all 25 dates. Sponsorship dollars will also help underwrite tour costs.  Ticket distribution details have not yet been announced for the tour produced by Live Nation.

"For the last few years, ticket prices have steadily climbed as artists demand more and more money for summer tours," says tour creator Sharon Osbourne. "We certainly want everybody to make money; however, we also want the kids to be able to afford to come out and have an incredible experience. If we continued with the traditional touring festival model, we would have no choice but to raise ticket prices again this year."

Is this The Concert Industry 2.0?
