Zune Not Compatible With Microsoft's Own Vista Operating System

Microsoft_1First Microsoft said that Zune won't be compatible with it's own PlayForSure technology that drives subscription services like Napster and Yahoo! Now we learn that Microsoft's new Zune is also not going to be immediately compatible with Zune_logo_30 their own new Vista operating system (see Zune support page).

OK guys we know you wanted to get it out the door before Christmas. And Vistasure you'll probably work up a fix soon. But what kind of message do you send when Microsoft seems to be adding and abandoning competing technologies at such a dizzying pace?  And aren't consumers already being turned off enough by competing DRM and incompatible devices?

Now tell me again.... Why free file sharing is so popular?
